The CGCS specifically exists to mobilize and equip students, faculty, and staff in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

We accomplish our mission in the classroom, in our community, and among the nations in partnership with local churches, state conventions, NAMB, and the IMB. We do this by…

History of the CGCS

The Center for Great Commission Studies was inaugurated on April 14, 1991. The trustees then renamed it the Lewis Addison Drummond Center for Great Commission Studies in Spring 1992.

Previous directors include Wayne McDill (1991-1992), Keith Eitel (1992-1994), Keith Eitel (1992-2005), Bruce Ashford (2005-2009), Scott Hildreth (2009-2022), and Keelan Cook (2022-present).

Centers of Southeastern

The Lewis A. Drummond Center for Great Commission Studies is a Center of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The Ministry Centers of Southeastern Seminary exist to undergird and support the mission of Southeastern by providing resources, training, and mobilization opportunities for students and ministry leaders.
