Global Missions Week

This week at Southeastern, we celebrated Global Missions Week! We welcomed missionaries from around the globe and our denominational partners from the IMB, NAMB and NC Baptists. We provided our students with many opportunities, both online and in-person, to meet with these missionaries and partners to discuss how they can be a part of God’s global mission. From our GMW Kickoff, to a Library Talk, and coffee with a missionary, students learned first hand what life on mission looks like.
We also welcomed our chapel speakers, Paul Akin and Nic Ripken. Paul Akin preached from Matthew 10 and challenged our students that following Jesus requires full allegiance and dying to self daily. Nik Ripken preached from Matthew 27 on the hardships faced internationally by unbelievers and how it is our mission to go and tell them about our King, Jesus Christ. We encourage you to watch these chapel services below.

As a Great Commission Seminary, it is our desire to see our students live out their calling to share Christ with their neighbors and the nations. This desire is why Global Missions Week is one of our favorite weeks at Southeastern! It reminds us of the task of the Great Commission and the promise that every tribe, tongue, and nation will declare that Jesus is Lord.
