GMW Distance Learning Schedule

Monday, February 10

Virtual Prayer Walk Begins: Please pray with us for International and North American missionaries and people groups.

  • Madagascar:
    • Pray for the missionary family to love and model Christ to each other and others.
    • Pray for groups of dialect speakers in Madagascar as they craft and share oral Bible stories.
    • Pray for perseverance and provision for Malagasy leaders as they serve their churches and make disciples to the furthest reaches of the island.
  • Denver, CO:
    • Pray for the nations that are being sent to Denver by the thousands, especially over 40,000 Spanish-speaking people from Venezuela in 2024. Please raise up more Spanish-speaking church planters and missionaries to reach these people.
    • Pray for the burdening of the hearts of current pastors in Denver so every church would have an ethnic church meeting in their buildings.  May there be courageous leaders among these pastors who would consider bringing ethnic pastors/missionaries on staff at their churches. May they prioritize making their churches reflect the demographics of their communities.
    • Pray for more workers in Denver because the harvest is plentiful – over 90% of the people living in Denver are not evangelical Christians. Pray for Aurora, Commerce City, Englewood, Sheridan… communities in Denver that are forgotten and overlooked. Pray that missionaries and church planters’ hearts will break for these areas of the city and will give their lives to reach them.

Tuesday, February 11

Virtual Prayer Walk

  • East and West Central Asia:
    • Pray for balance with platform work and ministry for those working in this area. Pray that the Lord would work in their platforms in efforts to reach people in the community.
    • Pray for wisdom in connections with the many people who do not follow Christ, that workers would be able to answer their objections to Jesus as they believe in Him, and that people may come to faith.
    • Pray for the perseverance of new believers and for those that have fallen away to repent and come to truly know Christ.
  • Salt Lake City, UT:
    • Pray for LDS (Latter-day Saints) people to see their belief system as incorrect and unable to bring salvation without the grace of Jesus.
    • Pray for God to put people and churches in the lives of these LDS people to preach the true Gospel. Pray for churches to have mature believers to serve as pastors, deacons, and small group leaders.
    • Pray for the acceptance and salvation of family members of converts from LDS. A few real families to pray for (the parents and siblings of Noemi, the children of Raven, the wife and children of Dan, and the mother and friends of Owen.)
  • 10:30 am: GMW Chapel with Dr. Chuck Lawless (Watch this chapel live here!)
  • 6:30 pm: Parenthood on the Mission Field with Distance Learning – Are you a current or future parent who is exploring a call to the mission field? Join us in person or online to hear from a panel of missionaries who have raised kids overseas. It will be a special evening of encouragement and support. You can join us on-campus in Carson 223 or online through Microsoft Teams. Online attendees will be sent a Teams link on the day of the event.
