Who We Are

The Lewis A. Drummond Center for Great Commission Studies is the hub of missionary mobilization at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. The CGCS exists to mobilize and equip students, faculty, staff in the fulfillment of the Great Commission. We accomplish this in the classroom, in our community, and among the nations in partnership with local churches, state conventions, NAMB, and the IMB.

What We Do

Southeastern sends hundreds of students all over the world every semester. These trips are an incredible opportunity to GO with our professors to see what God is doing all over the world, and participate in His amazing work among the nations there.

The CGCS hosts conferences, meals, conversations, seminars, and other events throughout the year in order to equip and network our students as they seek to GO proclaim the good news among the nations. See what we’ve got going on, and join us!

We truly believe that the best missionaries are top-notch theologians. With that in mind, the CGCS dedicates its time and resources to equipping our students across a number of missions-related degrees. It does not matter if you end of serving somewhere in the US or somewhere around the world, the CGCS is committed to equipping you for a lifetime of impactful ministry through one of our academic degrees.
