Ramadan Kareem! This week marks the start of the holiest month on the Islamic calendar, the month of Ramadan. This holy month celebrates the sending down of the Qur’an as guidance for humanity. For Muslims, this month entails the discipline of fasting (sawm) during daylight hours, a celebration of unity throughout the Muslim world, and a seeking of harmony with Allah, oneself, and the community. For Christians, Ramadan is an opportunity for concentrated prayer on behalf of our Muslim neighbors. Seek God on behalf of the 1.6 billion Muslims around the world. Click To Tweet
