Missional Field North America

As we conclude this series on church planting within the North American context, our goal is to provide a few core resources to continue your learning and engagement on the topic.  No one place has the entirety of resources, but as a collection of sources, the list below provides great options for ongoing learning in the area of church planting:

  1.     North American Mission Board (Denominational Resource)

The North American Mission Board (NAMB) is an entity supported by the generous contributions of Southern Baptists with the goal of seeing the gospel change lives and communities. NAMB assists churches with evangelistic church planting strategy, the identification and training of missionaries, chaplains and church planters through the Send Network, and helps churches impact their communities through Send Relief. NAMB accomplishes this by serving in cooperation with churches, associations, state conventions, other national SBC entitles and the Canadian National Baptist Convention.[1]

  1.     New Churches (Blog/Training/Education)

NewChurches.com wants to help you build a strong foundation by connecting you with top experts in the field of church planting and multisite ministry, and by regularly providing you with the resources, information, and community you need to thrive.[2]

  1.     Acts 29 (Network)

As a family of church-planting churches we are about one thing: church planting. We exist to encourage, resource, facilitate, support and equip churches to plant churches that will plant church-planting churches.[3]

  1.     Exponential (Blog/Training/Education)

Exponential is a growing community of leaders committed to accelerating the multiplication of healthy, reproducing faith communities. We equip movement makers with actionable principles, ideas and solutions. We are passionate about accelerating multiplication through movement makers.[4]

  1.     Redeemer City to City (Network/Urban Focus)

City to City recruits, trains, coaches and funds leaders who start gospel movements in cities through church planting.[5]

As previously mentioned, the bottom line in church planting is the reality that the context can drive so much of the approach.  Thus, being in tune with your context, the realities of the demographics, geography, physical needs, and more drive us to creative ends in applying the Gospel.  That said, the combination of good learning tools, resources, and education can help keep us on the path of growing together as we seek to spread the gospel in our given contexts.
