Counting on your Prayers: Planter Hosts BYU Bible Study

SaltLakeCityPLEASE PRAY FOR THIS EVENT! Here on the blog, we typically post prayer requests and updates on Thursdays. With that said, there is an event coming up we just can’t wait on. We have mentioned the Neiser family and their CrossSeekers ministry here before. Please take time today and begin praying for this important event on the campus of BYU happening October 15th.

We had a busy September, and are in the midst of a very busy October. The semester is now in full swing. The girls are both still enjoying school and seem to be doing well, though Ella does not like having to sit still for so long. 🙂  Ben has begun his new job as Lead Sales Recruiter for Fluent Home. He is excited about the possibilities there.

The BYU CrossSeekers group is enjoying our study through the book of Matthew so far. We’ve had over 10 in attendance each Wednesday night for Bible study! It may not sound like a big number, but it is for this ministry on BYU campus. We still have some LDS (Mormon) students who come consistently, and our Evangelical students really seem to be well connected this semester.

Please be praying for the weekly, on-campus Bible study that Ben leads. Pray for the discipleship and encouragement of our Evangelical Christian students. Pray that this group will provide a “safe” place for their lost peers to ask questions and find answers in the Bible. Pray for one of our regular LDS students. We believe the Holy Spirit is working on her, and though it may take some time (she loves the LDS faith), she loves studying the Bible and seeks out conversations about our differing beliefs.

Please pray for the upcoming symposium sponsored by CrossSeekers at BYU “Heaven & Hell – What happens when we die?” This event is October 15 at 7pm MST. This will be an event of around 500+ where attendees will hear the teachings and perspectives of 4 different religions. Please pray for Dr. Travis Kearns as he prepares to give the Evangelical/Christian/Baptist beliefs on Heaven and Hell, and ultimately the Gospel.

Please be in prayer for the small mission team from Arkansas coming out here on Saturday. They will be here for a week to help spread the word about CrossSeekers and the symposium. We are beyond thankful for this team, previous teams, future teams, and the partnerships many of you have extended to us in the ministries here.

Thank you for keeping up with us and for faithfully covering us in prayer.

In Christ,

Ben, Lindsey, Ella, and Clara Beth Neiser
