Pray for a missionary living in a city of about 3 million people in South Asia. He is working with local pastors to equip and empower them to make disciples and plant churches all over the city, eventually extending out into all the districts of the state in which he lives. Targeting the urban center is a new initiative and this work is only in the beginning stages right now. Large city contexts present a unique challenge and opportunity for mission work, and he is hoping to see the Lord do an Ephesians 3:20 sized work all for the purpose of Ephesians 3:21.
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think according to the power at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Eph. 3:20-21)
The Great Commission Studies (CGCS) is the hub of Southeastern’s Great Commission efforts, helping develop students and faculty members who are Great Commission servants of their local churches. The CGCS serves the Southeastern community in four major areas: academics, research, mobilization, and convention relationships.
