We’ve received a request from two of our SEBTS family members in South Korea! They are needing three teachers and a chaplain to work at an international school with them this coming year! Please take time to read over their request and consider GOING. Their contact information is at the bottom of this post and we plead with you to GO.
- US or Canadian Teaching Certificate
- Chaplain- ACSI certificate and/or experience
“Jill and I have been serving here in Seoul, Korea with Yongsan International School (YISS) for just over one year. It has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience, and we are thankful that God has blessed us with the opportunity to serve at a strong Christian school that is one of the top schools in Korea and is reaching out to non-Christians through our Oasis program.
I am writing to you now with a request…We need strong education-minded missionaries here in Seoul…specifically an Elementary School Chaplain, an ES Physical Education teacher, an ES Reading Specialist, and an Education Technology Specialist for the coming 15-16 school year.
To satisfy immigration requirements, teachers should have a US or Canadian teaching certification, however, the Chaplain role can be filled with experience and a provisional ACSI certificate.
YISS is affiliated with the Network of International Christian Schools (www.nics.org), and the faculty and staff are commissioned as missionaries through NICS. You may be familiar with NICS, as there are 18 schools worldwide, including a sister school in Ankara. YISS is fully self-supporting and all positions are fully funded, so raising outside support is permitted, but is not required. The school also provides generous benefits which include housing, medical , airfare, and retirement.
My recurring thought this Spring has been that there may be a SEBTS couple or single, with an education background, who may fill called to serve in Korea, and I would welcome their consideration of Yongsan International School.
Blessings in Christ,
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mike via email or using his US number which routes to Seoul.
