A Family in Utah: Update

Blog Image

On Thursdays, we want to make you aware of a church planting effort in North America. Today, we’re excited to give you an update on a family that has moved to Utah to plant a church in the Salt Lake City area.

Thank you for your continued prayers for our family and ministry. They have been felt and are being answered.

Well, we had our neighbors over for dinner last week. My prayer is to engage in a Gospel conversation with the father this week. Our family prays each night for a family that is very involved in the local ward (LDS church). Only the Holy Spirit can soften their hearts to the True Gospel of Jesus Christ. Would you pray that He would do that?

This past Monday we got to play in the soccer match that happens across the street. What an an awesome, God-ordained opportunity! The group is comprised of all LDS married couples that are in their early 20’s. Some are still in college locally others just live in Provo. Pray for boldness to share with this group. Pray for the opportunity to host this group in our home before or after the match.

The first week of September will mark the beginning of our ministry to the evangelical students at BYU. We’ll be meeting on campus on Wednesday nights for Bible study. Then on Thursday nights we desire to have students in our home for dinner and fellowship. This is also a comfortable venue to invite lost classmates. I am not allowed to share the Gospel on campus to lost students but we can in our home and our evangelical students can at any point on campus. Pray for these students that they would be bold evangelists at BYU.
