On Thursdays, we want to make you aware of a church planting effort in North America. Today, we’re excited to introduce Trinity Life Church of Toronto. Here’s a specific update from the team:
Hi Everybody! I know it’s been awhile since you heard from us, but that’s because God’s been moving! Thank you so much for your continued prayers, support, and encouraging messages–you guys really keep us going through the Spirit that unites us! We love you guys!!
Check out this cool stuff that has happened and is going to happen this summer at Trinity Life:
Baptisms! We celebrated our first baptisms as a community of believers a month and a half ago! in just a few short weeks, we’ll celebrate some more with baptisms in frigid Lake Ontario! One of our baptisms was of an Iranian immigrant (Nikoo) who was connected to us through a minister in Alabama, who knew a guy in Africa, who connected him with Nikoo who moved to Toronto from Kuala Lumpur! Another of our baptisms was of Daniel’s middle son, Conor, who decided he was ready to follow Jesus in baptism. One of our upcoming baptisms is of a Japanese immigrant who is learning English here, has been tracking with us since Easter, doesn’t understand much of what we preach, but has been transformed by the Spirit who transcends our language, cultural, and ethnic barriers! Pray that God would continue to bring in the harvest here in Toronto!
Cherry Beach Picnic. This is not your typical church picnic. Sure, we gather, have fun, and build relationships. But this is a purely evangelistic event in which we share the love of Jesus with those at the beach by offering free food, fun activities, and prizes. Pray that God uses this to bring others to Him and to Trinity Life!
Sunday in the Park. This is a tremendous opportunity for us to make God famous by partnering with our city in a 23 year old event. By His favor, we’ve been asked to be a part of blessing the community through this event by being a major contributor of resources and volunteers. We not only get to share the love of Jesus with those that attend, but also with the leaders of our city and community who are helping to organize this event. Pray that the Kingdom of God would reap the benefits of this and the credibility of the Church redeemed!
