Redemption Hill Church

On Thursdays, we want to make you aware of a church planting effort in North America. Today, we’re excited to introduce Redemption Hill Church to you. They would greatly appreciate your prayers as they seek to reach New England.

It’s hard to believe we launched our weekly services a little more than three years ago. We are humbled by the good work God has done in such a short time.  We are grateful for the ways he is growing our church and stretching our faith. We are eager to continue on the journey he has placed before us.  Rejoice with us over these highlights, and join us in pray for upcoming needs in the following areas:

  • Salvation! God is answering prayer in the most significant ways by giving new life to new disciples of Jesus. We have seen three young professional men come to faith in the past few months. Praise God! We also baptized six believers at the end of March. Many more are counting the cost of discipleship, so please continue to pray.

  • Global Mission: Tanner Turley (Lead Pastor) and Scott Griffin (Student Ministry Leader) went on a vision trip to India at the beginning of March in order to further establish our global partnership. Their trip and our recent “Sent” sermon series has been a great catalyst for our church. Many are giving more sacrificially (we just collected $4,820.98 for our Great Commission Offering for the IMB & NAMB).  Others are praying about serving on a short-term trip or long-term on the field. Huge! This doesn’t include our investments in Toronto with Trinity Life Church and Charlestown with Grace Harbor Church. Check out the new Serve mission section of our website.
  • Growth: God has continued to grow RHC deeper and wider simultaneously. It’s a thrill to watch our people bring friends and share the gospel. We had a record attendance of 242 Easter Sunday. Pray for the many we’ve connected with and especially those wrestling with the truth of Christ crucified. Pray that God would spark revival through his people being consumed with his presence. Pray for our Sunday worship services as we work through James this summer.

  • Local Mission: Our Easter Egg Hunt outreaches were a great success. Hundreds of kids and parents participated, and we have seen a couple of families join us on Sundays! We are positioned well for a great summer of engaging our community through displaying and declaring the gospel. Soccer Nights and Serve Medford promise to be great weeks of mission. We have another great team from Open Door Baptist Church coming for Soccer Nights and about 140 people from ten teams coming for Serve Medford! Pray with us that the Spirit will empower our witness!
  • Leadership: Our staff team has continued to serve faithfully and sacrificially. We’ve been so blessed by our volunteer staff and those who have raised part-time or full-time support to serve RHC. Equally exciting is the boost our third elder, John Reddy, has added to our pastoral and staff teams.
On top of all of this exciting news, Pastor Jon Chasteen is now Dr. Jonathan D. Chasteen. A big congrats to him for finishing his Ph.D. and writing a great dissertation on the Sabbath! The Turleys also welcomed Jordyn Hope to their family as she was born on May 10th.

Thank you for rejoicing with us and for your constant support of RHC!
