On Thursdays, we want to make you aware of a church planting effort in North America. Today, we’re excited to introduce Jordan Branch to you. Below is a glimpse into his world as a church planter. Please pray for the church in Denver and specifically for Jordan and his family.
Greetings from Denver! Thank you for your encouragement and prayers on our behalf.
I am excited to share an update on Chris, a man for which I requested prayer in our last update. He is now a brother in Christ! In February Chris and I began to meet regularly to talk about Jesus and walk through the gospel of Mark together. In May, he confessed his belief in Jesus as his Savior and Lord! Three weeks ago we baptized him at Calvary Church Littleton. Chris and I continue to meet regularly as he learns to walk with Jesus. When I asked for permission to share his story, this was his reply, “Let His will be done and let Him work in the hearts of others as he did in mine.” Praise God! Please keep Chris in your prayers.
We are thrilled that Ronnica Rothe, one of our team members from Open Door Church in Raleigh, now calls Denver her home. Ronnica moved to Denver three weeks ago. Please pray for God’s provision as she looks for a job. Please also keep Ryan and Robin Campbell in Colorado Springs in your prayers. Congrats to Robin for finishing her first year of teaching!
In March we had a team from Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs, GA visit and serve in the city. The team spent time engaging students at Arapahoe Community College and conducted surveys on the perception of the church among people in west Denver. They served faithfully and set a helpful precedent for future work on the campus of the local college.
This month marks the completion of the first half of my Church Planting Internship through Calvary Church Littleton. The internship with Calvary continues to be invaluable for my development as a Planter and for the health of the future plant. My family and I truly love this church and the pastors who lead it. We are thankful to God for leading us here! Please pray for God’s wisdom and discernment as we plan and pray about next steps.
