The Center for Great Commission Studies is hosting Dr. Kevin Ezell the first week of class, January 23. As the president of the North American Mission Board, he provides strategic vision, direction and leadership as NAMB works with local church and state partners in helping Southern Baptists to reach North America through evangelistic church planting and other strategic initiatives.
After a casual conversation in chapel, Dr. Ezell will make his way to the Ledford Center and lead a discussion on discerning a call to ministry and readiness factors for engaging in strategic ministry roles (like the SEND North America FARM system). As someone who has been down that road before, he will provide guidance for students as they work through their local church and assess their own gifts and abilities, helping them better understand which direction God may be pointing.
Students will be challenged to respond and participate in a free pre-assessment process following the event. A free lunch will be provided.

The Great Commission Studies (CGCS) is the hub of Southeastern’s Great Commission efforts, helping develop students and faculty members who are Great Commission servants of their local churches. The CGCS serves the Southeastern community in four major areas: academics, research, mobilization, and convention relationships.
